28 Listed Companies Now Hold a Total of 190,000 BTC
Blockchain investment and analytics platform Cryptorank.io reported that, as of May 31, 2023, 28 publicly traded companies hold a total of 190,000 Bitcoins (BTC). This represents a significant increase from the 13 companies that held BTC in May 2022. The report found that MicroStrategy remains the largest corporate holder of BTC, with 130,000 BTC. Other major holders include Tesla, with 43,200 BTC, Galaxy Digital Holdings, with 34,628 BTC, and Voyager Digital with 12,267 BTC. The surge in corporate adoption of BTC is a sign of the growing institutional interest in cryptocurrency. As more companies add BTC to their balance sheets, the cryptocurrency is gaining legitimacy as a store of value.
