London Stock Exchange Crypto ETNs Attract Only $500K in Volume Post-Launch
Crypto exchange-traded notes (ETNs) on the London Stock Exchange have seen only $500,000 in volume since their launch, according to The Block. The LSE ETNs were only available to qualified institutional investors, with retail investors excluded. Alex Pollak, CEO of 21Shares UK, said, "The 21Shares Bitcoin ETN has traded in line with our expectations. Regardless of volumes, we believe it was a hugely important step forward for the industry to have the FCA, the U.K. regulator, approve a crypto ETN for professional investors."
