NYSE Files With SEC to List ProShares Ethereum Spot ETF

NYSE has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the ProShares Ethereum Spot ETF. This ETF is meant to provide investors with exposure to the price of Ethereum without having to purchase and store the cryptocurrency themselves. The fund will invest in Ethereum futures contracts and other eligible financial products to provide investors with a convenient way to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency market. If approved by the SEC, this would be the first Ethereum-linked ETF traded on the NYSE. The move comes amid growing interest in cryptocurrencies from institutional investors, who have turned to them as an alternative asset class.
