Alameda Deposits $255k in WLD and AAVE on Centralized Exchanges

Alameda Research, a quantitative cryptocurrency trading firm founded by Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), has deposited a combined $255,300 worth of WLD and AAVE on multiple centralized exchanges. Blockchain security and data analytics company PeckShield alerted via Twitter on November 22 that "an address labeled as Alameda has deposited 143,800 WLD ($200k) to Binance in the last 8 hours. It also deposited 373 AAVE ($55.3k) to Coinbase". The reasons behind Alameda's recent deposits on centralized exchanges remain unclear. Some speculate that the firm may be preparing to sell its WLD and AAVE holdings, while others believe that it may simply be moving its assets to a more secure location. Whatever the case may be, Alameda's recent activity is likely to be closely watched by the cryptocurrency community, given the firm's high profile and its close ties to FTX, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange.
