Australian Digital Economy Group Rebrands to Reflect Expanded Focus

The Australian Blockchain Advocacy Group has rebranded to the Digital Economy Australia Coalition (DECA) to better reflect its expanded focus beyond blockchain to include fintech, banking, and other areas. The move comes as several major banks that are DECA members have reportedly blocked banking services to cryptocurrency exchanges. Last year, Australia's four largest banks restricted some payment services for crypto exchanges. DECA's rebranding is a sign of the growing recognition of the importance of the digital economy in Australia. The group's new name and focus will allow it to better advocate for policies that support the growth of the digital economy in Australia.
