Bithumb Pushes for Account Partner Bank Change from NH to Kookmin Bank

After a failed attempt earlier this year, Bithumb is reportedly pushing forward with plans to change its partner bank for real-name accounts, this time from NH NongHyup Bank to KB Kookmin Bank. Bithumb has relied on NongHyup for real-name account issuance since 2018, with the contract being renewed every six to twelve months. In March 2023, Bithumb attempted to sign with Kookmin Bank but was unsuccessful and ultimately renewed with NongHyup for another half-year. Analysts believe there is a good chance that the deal will succeed this time, given Bithumb's repeated efforts to switch banks in order to enhance its standing and client base.
