Bitwise Submits Revised S-1 for Ethereum Spot ETF

Bitwise Asset Management has filed an amended S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund (ETF). The updated filing says the expense ratio of the product would be 0.2%, down from the 0.35% proposed in the initial filing.
"We believe that now is the right time to bring a physically backed Ethereum ETF to the market," said Matt Hougan, Bitwise's chief investment officer. "Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and has a proven track record of growth and innovation." The SEC has not yet approved any spot ETF linked to digital assets, but several issuers, including Bitwise, have filed for products tracking the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
