Oasis Director Unveils Ambitious Roadmap for Blockchain Gaming at Consensus 2024
Oasis, a blockchain specializing in games, has revealed its plans for the future of gaming and blockchain at the Consensus 2024 conference. Ryo Matsubara, Director of Oasis (OAS), said, "The gaming industry needs a transformation through blockchain. Currently, new game sales are stagnant, and the top 10 popular games have remained the same for a decade. Blockchain can solve this by enabling users to turn their in-game time and money spent from 'consumption' to 'assets.'" Oasis also presented a roadmap to tackle pain points in the gaming industry by improving data availability, layer 2 interoperability, and ecosystem scalability. Several games, including 'Champions Tactics' and 'Last Memories,' will be onboarded onto Oasis starting this summer.
