Bloomberg Analyst Files FOIA Request with SEC James Seyffart, ETF analyst for Bloomberg, has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the SEC. This request is in response to the SEC's recent abrupt change of heart regarding the approval of a spot ether ETF. Seyffart stated: “The SEC appeared to have an abrupt change of heart regarding the approval of a spot ether ETF. ... The public needs to see all communications with anyone who had input into the SEC’s decision making process, including emails and phone calls.” Seyffart went on to remark that the SEC’s recent closed-door votes “reeked of politics.” The SEC has not yet responded to Seyffart's FOIA request.
