The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has warned the public about fake cryptocurrency investment promotions that utilize AI-generated videos and audios. This warning comes as a response to increasing reports of individuals falling victim to these fraudulent schemes. BSP Governor Eli Remolona emphasized that the central bank does not endorse any cryptocurrency investments, including the one being promoted using the name Tesler Code. He also reminded the public that impersonating BSP or any of its officials is a crime. To protect themselves from these scams, investors are advised to avoid sharing personal information with unverified entities and to always verify information received from supposed BSP personnel.
