Upcoming BTC & ETH Options Expiry Worth Over $2 Billion

Today, January 17, at 5:00 PM UTC, $2.16 billion worth of Bitcoin (BTC) options are set to expire, according to cryptocurrency options exchange Deribit. The put/call ratio is 0.94, and the max pain price, the price at which the most option buyers will lose money, is $96,000. Additionally, $601 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) options are also set to expire at the same time. The put/call ratio for ETH is 0.36, and the max pain price is $3,250.
