Pharmaceutical Company CelaCare Sues Circle for $1 Million USDC Misdirection Refund

CelaCare, a pharmaceutical company, is suing Circle, the issuer of USDC, for a refund of $1 million USDC that was lost in a misdirected transaction. According to Protos, a crypto media outlet, CelaCare CEO Kenneth Yates claims that his computer misread the letter "B" as the number "8" when he was copying a wallet address. CelaCare reportedly asked Circle for a refund in August but was denied, prompting the company to file a lawsuit. Circle has not yet publicly commented on the lawsuit.
