Shiller believes that most celebrity-affiliated crypto projects fail miserably because they lack substance and utility. He accuses celebrities of simply trying to capitalize on the meme coin craze to make a quick buck, calling it a predatory practice. Shiller urges the public to be outraged by this trend, highlighting that celebrities who get paid in crypto and shill projects are typically worth a lot more than D-list celebrities who shill tokens to rip off retail investors.
