Coinbase Exec ‘Encouraged’ by Harris Adviser’s Comments on Supporting Crypto Growth

Coinbase’s Chief Policy Officer, Faryar Shirzad, said he was “encouraged” by comments from Brian Nelson, senior advisor for policy to the Kamala Harris campaign, who said “Kamala Harris will champion policies that will allow emerging technologies and those kinds of industries to continue to grow.” Shirzad, who recently met with the Harris campaign to discuss policy, said: “We were pleased to have a thoughtful discussion with the campaign,” according to Decrypt. “Their focus on advancing innovation, jobs and consumer protection in the United States is encouraging. Conversations are an important first step, and the responses from Brian Nelson, the campaign’s policy advisor, were an encouraging next step.”
