Core Scientific, a cryptocurrency mining company, has significantly expanded its artificial intelligence (AI) business by extending its partnership with cloud provider Corewave for 12 years. Under the partnership, Corewave will provide Core Scientific with the graphics processing units (GPUs) needed to train and execute AI models. This move aligns with the growing trend of Bitcoin mining companies leveraging AI technology in their data centers. Other companies like Bit Digital, Hive, and Hut 8 are already generating revenue through AI technology. The partnership between Core Scientific and Corewave will enable the former to tap into the rapidly growing AI market, while also providing Corewave with a reliable customer base for its GPUs.
