COTI Rolls Out Latest Version of DJED Stablecoin With Enhanced Features

The DAG-based payments-focused layer-1 blockchain COTI announced early Monday that it has rolled out version 1.2 of its native stablecoin DJED on the COTI X network. This latest version brings several notable enhancements and optimizations to the DJED stablecoin. One of the key changes in DJED v1.2 is the reduction of the burn threshold. This means that a lower amount of COTI tokens will be required to be burned in order to mint DJED. This change is expected to make it easier for users to mint DJED and increase the overall stability of the stablecoin. Another significant change in DJED v1.2 is the shift from a fixed fee model to a base fee model for minting and redeeming DJED. Under the previous fixed fee model, a flat fee was charged for each minting and redemption transaction. With the new base fee model, the fee will now be based on the size of the transaction. This change is designed to make the DJED stablecoin more scalable and efficient. In addition to these changes, DJED v1.2 also includes a new oracle slippage detection mechanism. This mechanism is designed to prevent the stablecoin from becoming pegged to the wrong price in the event of a sudden market fluctuation. Overall, the release of DJED v1.2 represents a significant step forward for the COTI ecosystem. The enhanced features and optimizations introduced in this latest version are expected to improve the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the DJED stablecoin.
