UK Court Freezes More Assets Worth £1.55 Million From Satoshi Nakamoto Impersonator Craig Wright

Craig Wright, the self-proclaimed ‘Bitcoin creator’, has faced another setback in his ongoing legal battle with renowned Bitcoin podcaster Peter McCormack. The UK High Court has frozen an additional £1.55 million of Wright's assets, bringing the total value of frozen assets to £15.48 million. This move is intended to prevent Wright from moving or hiding assets in case he loses the libel case filed against him by McCormack. The order also extends beyond the UK, meaning that Wright cannot transfer the frozen assets overseas. In January 2023, McCormack won his legal case against Wright, and in March, Wright lost a separate court case against crypto patent consortium COPA, which also resulted in a freezing order of £6 million worth of assets.
