Vitalik Buterin: Crypto has 'moved out of early stage'

Crypto has moved out of its early stage, according to Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH). Buterin spoke at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, where he said that the industry has seen significant development in recent years and is now entering a new phase. "People say crypto is still early and we are still building the infrastructure," said Buterin. "But Ethereum has been out for 10 years, Bitcoin has been out for 15 years, and in that time we've seen the birth of things like ChatGPT, which completely reframes how we think about AI. We have to ask ourselves, are we really at an early stage here? And my answer to that is we're not early, we're at a weird stage." Buterin's comments come at a time when the crypto market is facing a number of challenges, including falling prices and regulatory uncertainty. However, he remains optimistic about the long-term prospects for the industry and believes that crypto has the potential to revolutionize a number of sectors.
