Cybersecurity firm, CyberAlert, has identified similarities between the recent hack on Indian cryptocurrency exchange, Indodax, and the tactics used by North Korean hacking group, Lazarus. Yoshi Hammer, the AI Director at CyberAlert, stated that the patterns observed in the Indodax hack strongly resemble those employed by Lazarus. Earlier, CyberAlert reported that Indodax's hot wallet had been compromised, resulting in losses estimated at $18.2 million. Over 150 suspicious transactions have been flagged, and investigations are ongoing. This incident highlights the growing threat of cyberattacks on cryptocurrency exchanges, underscoring the need for robust security measures and vigilance within the industry.
