Cryptocurrency Ownership on the Rise, Projected to Double or Triple in Two Years

Cointelegraph recently cited a report by Triple-A, a Singapore-based regulatory-compliant cryptocurrency payment service provider, indicating that an estimated 560 million people worldwide currently own cryptocurrencies. This translates to approximately 6.8% of the global population, and the number is anticipated to at least double or triple within the next two years. Denys Denysiuk, CEO of German crypto payment platform Lunu, commented on the matter, stating that "with about 7% of the world's population owning crypto, it's only a matter of time until crypto payments go mainstream. The adoption of crypto payments will accelerate once major players like Starbucks start offering payment infrastructure for it." This surge in cryptocurrency ownership highlights the growing acceptance and adoption of digital assets globally. As more individuals and businesses embrace cryptocurrencies, it is likely that they will become an increasingly prevalent form of payment and investment in the years to come.
