At the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore, the founder of American hedge fund SkyBridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, urged the Democratic Party to distance itself from both Elizabeth Warren and Gary Gensler. Gensler is known for his crypto skepticism as the current chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Scaramucci pointed out that the crypto industry is making great strides and needs to establish a positive legislative and regulatory framework. He also noted that crypto advocacy groups are aligned with Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris’s views on crypto and would like to see her influence affect the party’s platform.
