El Salvador: 5,800+ Strong as Government Continues Daily Bitcoin Purchases
As per data from BitInfoCharts, the El Salvadoran government's BTC wallet (commencing with 32ixEd) has persistently been acquiring 1 BTC daily, despite the ongoing Bitcoin downturn, resulting in its holdings surpassing an impressive 5,800 BTC. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele declared on November 17, 2022, through a tweet, "we will buy 1 BTC every day starting tomorrow." Following up on this commitment, El Salvador publicized its wallet address in mid-March 2022 after moving government-held BTC to a cold storage wallet. Since then, it has been consistently purchasing 1 BTC daily.
