ETH Spot ETF Inflows May Disappoint Compared to BTC, Analyst Says In an interview with Cointelegraph, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said he believes that inflows into a potential spot Ethereum ETF could be less than those seen in the recently launched Bitcoin spot ETF. "The Ethereum spot ETF is going to play second fiddle to the Bitcoin spot ETF," Balchunas said. "Bitcoin has an easy-to-understand value proposition of being 'digital gold,' whereas the defi ecosystem, including ETH, is much closer to a tech stock, a more difficult concept for retail investors to grasp." As such, Balchunas believes that inflows into an ETH spot ETF may be more muted compared to the record-breaking inflows we saw into the BTC spot ETF. Only time will tell if Balchunas' predictions are correct, but his analysis provides some important insights into the potential challenges that an ETH spot ETF may face.
