ETH Spot ETF: 'Staking' Dropped as Firms Yield to SEC
According to Decrypt, Ethereum (ETH) spot ETF applicants have removed 'staking' content from their amendments in response to the SEC's request for an update. Fidelity, Ark Invest-21 Shares, and Grayscale have confirmed they won't use ETH for staking in their ETFs. Mark Connors of 3IQ believes issuers have temporarily abandoned staking to meet SEC requirements. If ETH spot ETFs are approved, a substantial amount of ETH could be excluded from staking.
