Ether Spot ETF Delayed: Valkyrie, CoinShares Want Staking

Valkyrie, CoinShares Back Out of ETH Spot ETF Crypto industry news reporter Eleanor Terrett announced via Fox Business that Bitcoin spot ETF issuers Valkyrie and CoinShares have decided not to file for an ether (ETH) spot ETF because it lacks staking capabilities. According to an anonymous source, Valkyrie determined that an ETH spot ETF without staking would not provide enough value to investors. This decision comes after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requested updates to 19b-4 forms from issuers and exchanges. In response, multiple filers removed references to staking in their applications, possibly to align with SEC requirements.
