White House Will Not Veto the 21st Century FinTech Act

The “White House has indicated that it will not veto the 21st Century FinTech Act (FIT21),” according to an anonymous source who spoke to Cryptocurrency news outlet The Block. The bill was approved for a vote earlier this month after passing through the House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture and Financial Services in 2021. Once passed, the bill would give the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) the authority to jointly write rules on cryptocurrency regulation.
