Former ENS Exec's Alleged Address Deposits $1.97M Worth of ENS to Coinbase

ENS, the Ethereum Name Service, has been making headlines lately. Just yesterday, Ethereum (ETH) creator Vitalik Buterin mentioned ENS on Twitter, sending the price of the token soaring. Today, news broke that a former ENS operations director, Brantly Millegan, allegedly unlocked a large sum of ENS from the community treasury contract and deposited it to Coinbase. According to Etherscan, an alleged address linked to Millegan unlocked 92,535 ENS ($1.97 million) just 20 minutes ago. This address has a total allocation of 1,027,478 ENS and has claimed a total of 753,737 ENS since May 2022. The remaining claimable balance is 273,741 ENS ($5.83 million). ENS has been on an uptrend since yesterday's news, and is currently trading at $21.41, up 15.49% according to CoinMarketCap. It is unclear what Millegan's intentions are with the ENS he allegedly deposited to Coinbase, but the move has certainly caught the attention of the crypto community.
