4th Halving to Occur at an Unusual Stage of Difficulty Adjustment
According to a report by BitMEX Research, the fourth Bitcoin halving will be distinct in terms of difficulty adjustment. The halving of block rewards occurs every 210,000 blocks, while difficulty adjustments occur every 2,016 blocks. Notably, this fourth halving will occur two-thirds of the way through a difficulty adjustment, which is expected in 2032. Previously on 19 April 2024, BitMEX Research reported that the fourth halving would coincide with a difficulty adjustment expected in 2032.
