FSC Vice Chair Discusses Virtual Asset Regulation Trends with US SEC

Kim So-young, Vice Chairperson of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), met with Mark Uyeda, Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to discuss virtual asset regulation trends in Korea and the US. Commissioner Uyeda expressed interest in Korea's efforts to balance technological innovation and user protection in virtual asset regulation. Vice Chairperson Kim outlined Korea's inter-ministerial cooperation in promoting blockchain innovation while prioritizing user protection and market stability through the Virtual Asset Utilization Protection Act.
