Grayscale Removes MATIC From Its DeFi Fund in Second Quarterly Report

Grayscale Investments, the world's largest digital currency asset manager, has made some changes to its crypto funds in the second quarter of this year. According to a report from GlobeNewswire, the Grayscale DeFi Fund has removed MATIC from its holdings. However, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust and the Grayscale Ethereum Trust did not see any additions or removals. MATIC is the native token of the Polygon network, a layer-2 scaling solution for the Ethereum network. Grayscale did not provide a reason for removing MATIC from its DeFi Fund but it is worth noting that the value of MATIC has declined significantly in recent months. It is also worth noting that Grayscale is not the only investment firm to have made changes to its crypto funds in recent months. Several other firms have also reduced their exposure to cryptocurrencies due to the recent market downturn.
