ZKM to Unveil Layer-2 'GOAT Network' for Bitcoin in Q3

ZKM, the interoperability protocol, is set to launch its Layer-2 solution for Bitcoin, dubbed GOAT Network, in the third quarter of 2023. According to The Block, GOAT Network will debut as a permissionless sequencer model, enabling node operators to accrue BTC and block production fees while leveraging MEV (miner extractable value). ZKM's zero-knowledge (zk) proof rollup will serve as the proof mechanism for the solution. The move comes after ZKM announced plans to develop a Layer-2 network for Bitcoin following a $5 million pre-Series A funding round in May. GOAT Network's launch will mark a significant milestone in the evolution of Bitcoin's scalability and interoperability.
