Canadians' use of cryptocurrency for everyday purchases remains low, with less than 3% of respondents in a Bank of Canada survey indicating they had done so in the past year. The survey, which was cited by Cointelegraph, found that only 2.2% of respondents reported using cryptocurrency for payments in 2022, a figure that rose slightly to 2.5% in 2023. Despite the growing popularity and mainstream attention given to cryptocurrencies, these findings suggest that mainstream adoption for everyday use is still limited in Canada.
