Surge in Major CEX Listings in H1 of This Year

The number of new tokens listed on major centralized exchanges (CEXs) in the first half of this year has exceeded the number of new listings last year, according to a report by Bloomberg citing CCData. The number of listed coins on Binance and Bybit, which are among the top exchanges in terms of spot trading volume, is estimated to have recorded an 11.6% increase to 2,066 in the first half of this year. In addition, smaller centralized exchanges, such as the Australian cryptocurrency exchange Coinjar, also recorded a 32% increase in the number of new tokens listed in the first half of the year, reaching 488. Cosmo Jiang, head of the liquidity strategy portfolio at Pantera Capital, said, "The recent change in the political and regulatory landscape for the cryptocurrency market could lead us to expect positive movements in the cryptocurrency market. In particular, as regulatory clarity improves, tokens with real value linked to fundamentals will emerge, and tokens with weak fundamentals, such as meme coins, will be phased out."
