MIAX Withdraws Application for Options Trading on Spot Bitcoin ETF
MIAX, the operator of the US options exchange, has withdrawn its proposal to list and trade options on a spot bitcoin ETF. Several exchanges have filed to list options on bitcoin futures ETFs, though none have yet been approved by the SEC. According to The Block, MIAX filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to withdraw its application. James Seyffart, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, previously told The Block that he expects bitcoin ETF options to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
