Ronin-based P2E gaming platform Moku raises $5.35M

Moku, a dedicated Ethereum sidechain platform for play-to-earn games based on Ronin (RON), has announced that it has secured $5.35 million in a funding round led by Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm X. Notable participants in the funding round included Sky Mavis, the developer behind the popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity (AXS), A16Z Games, Arkha, and Framework Ventures. Moku aims to provide a scalable and cost-effective infrastructure for game developers to build and operate play-to-earn games on the Ethereum blockchain. The platform will offer a suite of tools and services tailored to the needs of game developers, including a custom-built EVM-compatible runtime, support for popular game engines, and a marketplace for game assets. Moku is expected to launch its mainnet in Q2 2023 and has already partnered with several game developers. The platform is positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for play-to-earn games, a segment of the gaming industry that has seen significant growth in recent years.
