Binance Executive’s Wife Pleads With US Government for Intervention

The wife of Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive who is currently detained and facing trial in Nigeria, has appealed to the US government to intervene and help end her husband's "unlawful detention," according to Decrypt. "The US government needs to do more to help Tigran. We urge the US government to use all available means to secure the release of an innocent American citizen," said Tigran's wife, Yuki Gambaryan. Gambaryan has been detained in Nigeria since December 2022 and is facing charges related to fraud and money laundering. His trial is set to begin on March 13, 2023. Gambaryan's wife expressed concern regarding her husband's health issues, stating that the Nigerian authorities are continually denying them. She urged the US government to take action and ensure that Tigran receives the medical attention he requires. The US embassy in Nigeria has been providing assistance to Gambaryan and his family, but they have not been able to secure his release. The embassy has stated that they are monitoring the situation and will continue to provide support.
