70% of Taiwanese Cryptocurrency Investors Trade on Overseas Exchanges

A survey by Forsyte, a Taiwanese cryptocurrency exchange, has revealed that over 70% of Taiwanese cryptocurrency investors prefer to trade on overseas exchanges. The survey, which was conducted from May 7 to June 11 this year, polled 1080 cryptocurrency holders in Taiwan. According to data from the survey, the most popular overseas exchange among Taiwanese investors is Binance accounting for 70% of respondents. OKX and the local exchange Maicoin are also popular, with 60% and 50% of respondents using them, respectively. The study also found that Taiwanese cryptocurrency investors are increasingly diversifying their portfolios by holding multiple cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin (BTC) remains the most popular cryptocurrency, held by 90% of investors, followed by Ethereum (ETH) and Tether (USDT), held by 80% and 70% of investors, respectively. The survey suggests that Taiwanese cryptocurrency investors are increasingly choosing overseas exchanges due to their wider selection of cryptocurrencies, lower trading fees, and more advanced trading features. However, it's worth noting that overseas exchanges may not be as well-regulated as local exchanges and may not offer the same level of customer support. As the cryptocurrency market continues to grow and mature, it will be interesting to see how the preferences of Taiwanese investors evolve. With its large and vibrant cryptocurrency community, Taiwan is likely to remain a key market for both local and overseas exchanges in the years to come.
