PancakeBunny Hacker Swaps 2,922 ETH, But Leaves Trail

PancakeBunny, a decentralized finance (DeFi) yield aggregator, was once again the target of a hacker. This time, the attacker swapped 7.8 million DAI for 2,922 ETH, taking advantage of the recent market downturn. The same hacker was responsible for a previous attack on PancakeBunny in 2021, during which they made away with crypto assets worth over $45 million. This time, the attacker mistakenly sent 3.6 million DAI to the DAI contract address, revealing their involvement in the exploitation. Blockchain security firm PeckShield reported the incident, noting that the hacker's actions could have a significant impact on the DeFi market. The company also warned that the hacker may still be in possession of additional stolen funds, raising concerns about future attacks.
