PancakeSwap (CAKE), a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange, has introduced a beta version of its Telegram-based prediction and betting bot on September 11, 2020. This move aligns with the growing demand for prediction markets, particularly in the lead-up to the U.S. presidential election in November. Initially, the bot enables users to wager on the future price of the BNB token. However, PancakeSwap intends to expand its offerings to other chains in the future. The launch was driven by the rising popularity of prediction markets and Telegram bots. "We decided to launch the betting bot in response to the increased interest in prediction markets, such as Polymarket, and the popularity of Telegram bots," PancakeSwap stated.
