Ripple CEO: Issuing Yen-Linked Stablecoin 'Just a Matter of Time'
Ripple (XRP) CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently said in an interview with Bloomberg that “issuing a yen-linked stablecoin is just a matter of time.” He added that "the Japanese market is conservative in some ways, but Japanese authorities are trying to build relatively clear regulations for stablecoins and crypto. I will focus on launching a stablecoin in the US rather than launching a yen-linked stablecoin." Ripple recently announced the launch of its own US dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD, which is reportedly currently in beta testing.
