Ripple Boosts Its Crypto Infrastructure in South Korea and Japan
Ripple (XRP) has made several key announcements this week to bolster its crypto infrastructure in South Korea and Japan. First, Ripple said that it will provide custody services to FutureBus, a blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI)-based metaverse developer. This will allow FutureBus to securely store and manage its digital assets on the Ripple network. Secondly, Ripple said that it will launch an XRPL EVM sidechain that is currently being developed by next year. This will allow developers to build Ethereum-based applications on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which will make it easier for them to access the XRPL's fast and low-cost transaction processing. Third, Ripple said that Yonsei University has joined the Ripple Blockchain Research Initiative Program (UBRI) as its 58th global academic partner. This will allow Yonsei University to collaborate with Ripple on research and development projects related to blockchain technology.
