SEC asks Nasdaq, CBOE to update Ether spot ETF filings

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has asked Nasdaq and Cboe Global Markets to amend their applications for Ether spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to Triqnews. The move comes after Fidelity Investments submitted an updated version of its S-1 filing for an ether spot ETF to the SEC. The SEC told Nasdaq and CBOE that their filings were incomplete and requested additional information on issues including the source of the spot price data for the underlying ether, how the funds would address potential market manipulation, and how they would prevent conflicts of interest. Fidelity's updated filing said that it would use CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate as the source of its spot price data, that it would use a variety of tools to address potential market manipulation, and that it would have policies and procedures in place to prevent conflicts of interest.
