Nasdaq-Listed Semler Scientific to Raise $150M for Bitcoin Purchases Medical technology company Semler Scientific (SMLR) plans to raise $150 million to expand its Bitcoin holdings, following its recent acquisition of 581 BTC (worth approximately $40 million). This move demonstrates Semler's firm belief in Bitcoin's reliability as an investment. "Our strategy is twofold: expanding our healthcare operations and investing in Bitcoin," said Semler. "We see Bitcoin as a compelling investment and aim to continue acquiring it as part of our strategy." With the latest purchase, Semler now holds a total of 828 BTC. The company had previously added Bitcoin to its balance sheet as a primary treasury asset on May 28. Semler's investment in Bitcoin aligns with the growing trend of institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies.
