Solana leads the pack with highest average daily TPS, Sui holds second place

According to a recent report by CoinGecko, Solana (SOL) has emerged as the blockchain with the highest average daily transactions per second (TPS), clocking in at an impressive 1053 TPS. This places Solana firmly in the top spot, followed by Sui (854 TPS), BSC (378 TPS), Polygon (190 TPS), Toncoin (175 TPS), Tron (159 TPS), Near (117 TPS), and Avalanche (159 TPS). Notably, Bitcoin and Ethereum trailed behind with 10.7 TPS and 22.8 TPS, respectively. Solana's high TPS is attributed to its unique Proof-of-History (PoH) consensus mechanism, which enables it to process transactions rapidly and efficiently. This makes Solana particularly well-suited for applications that require high transaction throughput, such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces. Sui, on the other hand, is a relatively new blockchain that has gained attention for its high performance and scalability. Sui's unique parallel transaction processing architecture allows it to handle a large volume of transactions simultaneously, contributing to its impressive TPS of 854. The high TPS of Solana and Sui underscores their potential for supporting a wide range of applications and services in the rapidly growing blockchain ecosystem. As the demand for fast and efficient blockchain solutions continues to rise, these projects are well-positioned to play a significant role in shaping the future of the industry.
