Solo Miner Discovers Bitcoin Block, Earns a $181,000 Reward

According to data from the Mempool, a Bitcoin Blockchain explorer, a miner successfully mined a solo Bitcoin block at block height 860,749 and received 3.169 BTC as a reward, or around $181,000. This block was discovered on July 26, 2023, at 20:13:05 UTC. The miner used a hash rate of 84.13 TH/s to solve the complex mathematical puzzle needed to mine a Bitcoin block. Solo mining is the process of mining Bitcoin individually, without joining a mining pool. This means that the miner has to bear the cost of mining equipment and electricity on their own, and they are also more likely to experience long periods of time without finding a block. However, solo mining can also be more rewarding than pool mining. If a solo miner is successful in finding a block, they will receive the entire block reward, rather than having to share it with other miners in a pool.
