StarkWare CEO Explores 'Better Way' for Future Airdrops

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson has expressed reservations about the distribution methods used in the company's previous airdrop and is seeking community input for future token allocations. In a blog post, Ben-Sasson acknowledged that he is "not entirely sure" about the fairness of the initial token distribution and is open to suggestions from the community. He stated that the team is actively considering "a better way" to allocate tokens in future airdrops and will incorporate community feedback into their decision-making process. As of February 20th, approximately 500 million STRK tokens have been claimed from the initial airdrop, leaving 400 million STRK unclaimed. These unclaimed tokens will be included in the next airdrop, along with an additional 400 million STRK. StarkNet had previously conducted an airdrop of 700 million STRK in February. The news comes amid growing interest in airdrops as a means of distributing tokens to a wider audience. However, the fairness and effectiveness of airdrops have been called into question, with some arguing that they can lead to excessive speculation and manipulation. StarkWare's decision to reconsider its airdrop strategy is a positive step towards addressing these concerns and ensuring a more equitable distribution of tokens.
