Montenegrin PM Accused of Obstructing Terra-Luna Founder's Extradition to US
Andrija Milović, Montenegro's former justice minister, has accused Prime Minister Milo Đukanović of obstructing the extradition of Do Kwon, the mastermind behind the Terra-Luna cryptocurrency catastrophe, to the United States. Milović asserts that Đukanović's interference stems from a desire to conceal his alleged connections to Kwon. Serbian media outlet Borba has reported that Kwon conducted business with Đukanović, a former finance minister, for several years and even "financially backed Đukanović's entry into politics." The Montenegrin Supreme Court has temporarily suspended Kwon's extradition to South Korea pending the outcome of a prosecutor's office appeal. This raises concerns about the potential influence of political considerations on the extradition process. The US is investigating Đukanović's alleged ties to Kwon, and Milović's recent dismissal may be connected to this.
