Tether, the issuer of the largest stablecoin USDT, has announced that it will be hosting its Plan ₿ Forum in El Salvador from January 30-31, 2025. This will be the first Bitcoin conference conducted entirely in Spanish. The announcement was made by Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino on Twitter. He said that the event will bring together "the brightest minds" in the Bitcoin community to discuss the future of the cryptocurrency. "We are excited to host the Plan ₿ Forum in El Salvador, a country that has embraced Bitcoin as legal tender," said Ardoino. "We believe that this event will help to accelerate the adoption of Bitcoin in Latin America and around the world." Expected attendees include Blockstream CEO Adam Back, who is also a member of Tether's advisory board. Back is a renowned cryptographer and cypherpunk who has been involved in the Bitcoin community since its early days. The Plan ₿ Forum is a global series of Bitcoin conferences that are organized by Tether. The first event was held in 2021 in Lugano, Switzerland.
