Tornado Cash Sanctions: Ethereum Block Builders Largely Comply, Report Says
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released a report stating that Ethereum block builders have generally adhered to sanctions imposed against the cryptocurrency mixing platform Tornado Cash. The report asserts that while the enforcement of sanctions by most validators remains strong, Tornado Cash transactions have not ceased entirely. The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) had previously sanctioned Tornado Cash on allegations of money laundering by the North Korean hacking group Lazarus.
