Upbit to Suspend EOS-Based Crypto Deposits and Withdrawals
Upbit, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, has announced that it will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of EOS and Everypedia (IQ) due to the EOS network hard fork from 6 p.m. on September 25th. Additionally, withdrawals will be suspended for EOSEd (ADD), EOS Black (BLACK), Challenge DAC (CHL), EOSDAC (EOSDAC), HorusPay (HORUS), and MEET.ONE (MEETONE). Upbit stated that the suspension is a precautionary measure to protect user assets during the network upgrade. The exchange will monitor the situation and resume deposits and withdrawals as soon as the hard fork is complete and the network is stable. Traders who hold EOS-based cryptocurrencies on Upbit are advised to take necessary precautions and plan their transactions accordingly.
